The old Krug building on 13th and Jones?  I couldnt imagine that'd be big enough for more than 1 or 2 units...

Jones St Brewery was at 1316 Jones St, which is 1316 banquet hall now. dcassessor.org says it's 25000+ feet, 3 stories, ~8,300 sq feet/floor, meaning there's ~16,600 sq feet of space available for units.

Got ya.

When I read Jones St Brewery building I thought of the old Krug Brewery building at 1213 Jones.

Were there always apartments there?  Is this just a Remodel & Re-branding?

I believe that is the case.  At the very least, there have always been mailboxes at the entry that would suggest multiple dwellings.
Stable genius.
