Found this while I was trying to find more info for the map:

Catholic Voice Omaha wrote: A downtown Omaha church that closed in 2007 - St. Ann - was razed last month and housing for people earning low to moderate incomes will take its place, the developer and an official with the Archdiocese of Omaha said.
"It's an honor to work with this property," said Rob Woodling, a member of St. Wenceslaus Parish in Omaha, who owns and runs Foundations Development LLC in Omaha.
And Woodling said he is pleased to help people through the 23-unit apartment building with an underground garage that he plans for the property at 24th Street and Poppleton Avenue.

Nice! Looks like a lot of work had been done there.

Was that church 1950's? 1960's? It must have built shortly before white flight took hold.Coyote wrote:That's right, I totally forgot a church used to be there...

Re: St. Ann's (24th & Poppleton)
The church was built in the late 1950s and the gym (which is the windowless wall on the right of the picture) was added in the 1960's I believe. There was a parish school operating until the early 2000's is what I was told.

Pretty substantial structure.
Re: St. Ann's (24th & Poppleton)
This looks like it is done/nearly done, I just saw it from 24th and Leavenworth. It looks nice enough, but it looks like it belongs on 120th instead of 24th. Kind of a standard suburban design.
Re: St. Ann's (24th & Poppleton)
I could very well be wrong, but I assume that it is suburban design because it's cheaper. After all, this is low income housing.iamjacobm wrote:This looks like it is done/nearly done, I just saw it from 24th and Leavenworth. Same developer in front of the planning board for a Planned Unit Redevelopment on the lot directly east of this. I would assume another affordable apartment building.
Re: St. Ann's (24th & Poppleton)
Hmm, I wasn't expecting single story ranch style connected housing here.
