Yikes, that's sad. There's great potential for something better imo.Coyote wrote:Season Buffet is being transformed into a Dollar General.joeglow wrote:-I went to the Season Buffet a couple of months. Wasn't there a more ambitious plan proposed a while back? I thought I remembered reading about this building before.
Re: 74th and Dodge Redevelopment
I can't remember for sure, there have been several concepts for the area, but I can't remember which ones were public and which were not. This particular project is not very big, most of the mall will remain the same.

I guess it wasn't that big. The talk was splitting that building though.

Sounds like Potbelly Sandwich shop will be joining Dollar General and other yet to be disclosed food place in this plaza.
Potbelly will be over in the other building closer to Dodge.

Wait, where exactly is this construction happening?
Re: 74th and Dodge Redevelopment
Season Buffet was in the building "being down sized", and the sushi restaurant is just to the right of the photo (out of the frame).daveoma wrote:Wait, where exactly is this construction happening?

Re: 74th and Dodge Redevelopment
Thanks for clarifying. I thought Brad was mistaken at first too, I didn't realize Chick-fil-A and Freddy's were both going to be built near there.

Re: 74th and Dodge Redevelopment
I fail to see how traffic is supposed to flow in and out of this place. What with chicken fillet opening at about the same time, this whole area will be a nightmare.Coyote wrote:

Their official opening is today. I drove by around 4:30 to see the lines and there were none.

Re: 74th and Dodge Redevelopment
The restaurant is practically invisible from Dodge Street. I'm very, very surprised that they decided to build in this hidden location.
Re: 74th and Dodge Redevelopment
It's been busy every time I have gone by. The locals definitely know it's there.

Do they at least have signage along Dodge? I never seem to remember to look when I drive by.

Re: 74th and Dodge Redevelopment
Potbelly is right along the same stretch, right on Dodge, and has been open for some time -- and I never remember it's there. Maybe there's something too busy about that stretch of Dodge. Then again, Freddy's is quite visible when parking in the east end of Lowe's lot, so I think I'll see that more often than Potbelly.

Re: 74th and Dodge Redevelopment
I know I've been buy and seen lots of cars out front. Most recently last Wednesday, but that was not the first time, maybe the when I went by Monday they were doing some sort of sneak peak or friends and family. I go by here every Monday and Wednesday.
There is a sign on Dodge too.
