California Tacos and More

Post by Coyote »

I have driven past this place on numerous occasions but probably would never have tried it out if not for DDD. It was filled, mostly with Creighton families/Med students it seemed, just walking distance for CUMC. The inside wasn't as much of a dive that I was expecting but kind of cool. Ordered the regular California Meat Taco (with deep fried flour shell, almost like a Chimichanga Taco - which makes it a 'California Taco'). Different but very good. They have a side bar of condiments from hot Green chili, to mild red chili salsa, and the regular black olives, jalapenos... They have a surprising assortment of beers, so I got the Blue Moon Seasonal: Mountain Amber Ale which went well with the Taco. I would try them again anytime.

They are always busy.  I have been there different time of the day and it always seems to be busy.

For the most part I like the atmosphere of Cali Tacos.  As mush as I generally hate the food.
