Style: Saison A.B.V. 4.0% I.B.U. 25
A light, Belgian- style saison brewed with wheat to add to the flavor and complexity while giving a light body blended with a mild hop presence to this refreshing session beer. Pure liquid gold.

Belgian-style IPA
Style: American Belgo Ale A.B.V. 7.8% I.B.U. 60
A hoppy masterpiece showcasing the perfect blend of malt and American hops fermented with a unique Belgian yeast to produce a mouthful of flavor in every sip.

Keller
Style: Specialty Beer A.B.V. 5.0% I.B.U. 35
An unfiltered, German-style lager. Amber in color and smooth on the palate, an extended fermentation and conditioning time allows the flavor to develop and turn this "cellar beer" into a liquid masterpiece.

Sour Wit
Style: Sour Ale A.B.V. 5.0% I.B.U. 25
We take a traditional, Belgian-style wit to another level by aging on a special yeast and bacteria blend to give it a unique tartness then top it off by adding fresh fruit in the secondary fermentation. A grandiose explosion of flavor in your glass!

It will be great to have another brewery in town, but part of me wonders if there is going to be a "Brewery Bubble" just waiting to pop...

Hope not, because I am lovin all the beer options in town!

Honestly the new breweries opening don't have that bubble feel.. Everyone is always craving new beers to try and having a whole new brewery open just gives us beer nuts another place to add to our list of tasty beer we've tried! Usually the food is good at microbreweries as well..

I would assume. That space had 3 "Front Doors" so I would assume it could be divided up in to individual spaces...

Tony Thomas, who has worked in several breweries including Upstream in Omaha and Great Divide in Colorado, will open Goldenrod along with Phil Doerr, a longtime member of the South Omaha Brewers homebrewing club. Their wives, Christina Thomas and Bernie Doerr, are also partners in the business.

Goldenrod has been a longtime dream for Thomas, now 37, who wrote a business plan for a brewery when he was senior in college.

He and his partners signed the lease for the space on Friday and will take possession of the building next month. Renovations to the space, which will include a brewing area, tap room and, eventually, a patio out back, will begin immediately after. In addition to selling beer, they also plan to sell handcrafted sodas made from ingredients such as ginger and local mulberries.

It's back to the drawing board for the founders of Goldenrod Brewing Company. The soon-to-open brewery will have to change its name.

The brewery formerly known as Goldenrod received a cease-and-desist letter from Los Angeles-based Golden Road Brewing about a month ago. Goldenrod cofounder Tony Thomas said they tried to work it out with Golden Road, but the California brewers decided the names sounded too similar.

I am no expert on trademark law, but come on. A brewery named after a flower in Omaha wasn't going to be confused with an LA brewery named Golden Road by anyone.

To all of our friends out there, Goldenrod Brewing Company will be changing our name soon. The Golden Road Brewery in L.A. has decided the name "Goldenrod", based on our Nebraska state flower, is too similar to the name Golden Road and has requested that we cease use of the name. Litigation to keep the Goldenrod name would not be in our best financial interest as a small start up business, so we have decided to move on. We will keep you all posted as we get close to picking a new name and hope to continue on our current schedule and open early next year. We thank all of you for your support so far and apparently all of you with Goldenrod shirts now have a collector's item.

It's probably cheaper to just change the name and logo now than pay attorneys to litigate, even if they did eventually win.

I was just in Beertopia and they said Farnam House (formerly Goldenrod) is shooting for an April opening. I didn't think about it, but they have a huge basement where their tanks are.
